The Stolen
The Stolen
The Stolen is an alternative rock band from Old Bridge, NJ consisting of Dom Cuce, Rob Chiarappa, Kevin Smart, and Mike Chiarappa. The band's nostalgic sound of late 80's new wave rock blended with modern indie pop is nothing less of intriguing. Since forming, the band has provided direct support for acts like Neon Trees and The All-American Rejects. In addition, The Stolen has made appearances at festivals like Vans Warped Tour, South By So What, and Skate and Surf. The quartet released their sophomore EP 'I'm So Dead' in 2016, which caught the attention of many including MTV, who claimed that the EP "is the perfect pop-alt soundtrack to take you into the summer season." In May of 2017, The Stolen put out their newest release titled 'Fragile Heart' which includes the groups most representative tracks to date including "Euphoric" and "West Coast". The band is currently embarking on a national tour in support of the new release of "Fragile Heart".
Patternist
Patternist
Tinkering away in his bedroom studio, songwriter/producer Gabe Mouer aka Patternist, has lofty ambitions; package nuanced human stories into concise, three-and-a-half minute pop songs. Flowing from romantic pinings to troubled ruminations on mental illness to stories of drug-addled hallucinations and the brevity of life, Mouer’s introspective lyrical stylings contrast the slick guitars, rhythmic synths, & danceable beats that make up Patternist’s sound. Dubbed “blithe bedroom pop,” by Idolator, Patternist has been releasing songs since 2015 beginning with his self-produced debut EP Youth is Fading. The EP, which spent several weeks atop CMJ’s Top 200, was quickly followed by a string of singles garnering support from outlets such as The Huffington Post, PopMatters, and Idolator, in addition to several Spotify-curated playlists including Fresh Finds, Indie Rock All-stars, and Discover the Unknown. After a year of touring that included sold out dates across the US with artists like Vinyl Theatre, Finish Ticket, Flor, & The Griswolds, Patternist released his followup EP, Give It Up, in December of 2016, its title track appearing on Spotify’s US Viral Hits. Always reaching, Patternist is aiming to expand on the narrative elements of his songs in a collection of new music planned for 2018 with more touring to follow.
