Why Not (Minneapolis)

Why Not is a genre-bending indie rock band from Minneapolis, MN. Formed in 2015, high schoolers Henry, Isaac, and Josh originally planned for the project to become a progressive metal band. The group was quickly influenced by the Twin Cities DIY community, and thus began their experimentation with genre.

Throughout the course of writing and playing together for a number of years, the trio has reinvented their sound continuously: mixing elements of punk, math rock, jazz, and pop to create a distinct and dynamic sound.

In the span of three years, Why Not has made themselves known as one of the most energetic live shows in the Twin Cities and beyond, garnering attention from local outlets such as The Current and City Pages.

The group has played alongside national touring acts such as Motion City Soundtrack, Beach Bunny, Lunar Vacation, Citizen, Defeater, It Looks Sad., Heart to Gold, and many others.

Produced by Normal Parent's Caleb Hinz (Hippo Campus, Samia, Baby Boys, The Happy Children), the release of "EP" injects post-production experimentation into the group's songwriting, solidifying Why Not as one of the most sonically innovative groups in the Midwest.

Their new singles, 'Ding Dong' and 'No Suggestions Here,' are out now.

Love You Later

Love You Later is the dream-pop solo project of LA-based Lexi Aviles. Her dreamy sad songs bring people to tears and yet somehow lift their spirits all at the same time. The delicate use of shimmery electric guitar riffs and of course, dreamy synths might make you feel like you’re in, well, a dream.

Her debut single “Lost In Los Angeles” has reached over 800k streams on Spotify and has been featured on notable playlists such as Spotify’s Viral Top 50 and Discover Weekly. Her second single “Emily” followed with similar success boasting over 890k streams on Spotify to date. Since then, she released her debut EP How Many Nights Do You Dance With Tears in Your Eyes?. From opening for OneRepublic in Honolulu, Hawaii in fall of 2017 to being an official showcasing artist at SXSW 2018 and 2019, Love You Later has accomplished a lot in just a few years. She has played with notable acts such as R.LUM.R, Briston Maroney, Dayglow, Vista Kicks, The WLDLFE and more across the US. With the release of the first single—”Said That You’d Be There”—off her sophomore EP and many more exciting things to come in 2020, this is just the beginning for Love You Later.

“LA-based pop legend in the making Love You Later should be on the top of everyone’s ‘2020 Artists to Watch Out For’ lists.” - EUPHORIA Magazine

An indie rock quartet hailing from Huntington Beach, Lacker combines punk with the essentials of surf rock to showcase their ridiculous amount of talent and passion. Entering the scene early 2019, they have shown tremendous growth. They went from playing rowdy house shows to playing Queen Bee’s in November-their first San Diego show-and the Constellation Room with Sitting on Stacy and Joynoise to round out the year. 2020 is starting with a busy schedule for the boys, booking three shows in January with a spot on Blivet Bash to kick off a busy February.

Lacker released three singles in 2019, “Credit,” “Stuck,” and “Push.” The Frights are a key influence that can be heard in many of the instrumental rhythms of Lacker, easily heard in their latest release, “Push.” With Lacker gaining more exposure and growing as artists, the now trio-- lead vocalist Gavin Hanshaw, bassist Cole Jack, and Charlie Martin on the drums-- are currently working on their extended EP.
