Rincs

Introverted and bookish would be a fair way to sum up rincs. The LA duo—Rebecca Ramirez and Bjorn Winberg—met in the fall of 2018. They found common interests in literature and art while harboring a mutual affinity for Ableton and DIY production. A couple of months later they were sitting on dozens of experimental demos. They started playing shows in order to flesh out their material while helping Rebecca overcome her stage reluctance. Their sound has been compared to Broadcast, Crumb, and Mitski on a budget, and their lyric-writing process entails drafting and re-drafting until neither former-English-major wants to disown what’s on the page. They record using cheap gear, coffee, bicycles, and whatever late capitalist instruments are lying around.
