Taleen Kali
Taleen Kali
Taleen Kali plays cosmic femme punk in Los Angeles. Look out for her solo debut “Soul Songs” out now on Lolipop Records, recently featured in Pitchfork’s Guide to Albums Summer 2018. The album is produced by Kristin Kontrol (fka Dum Dum Girls) and recorded at the legendary Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood. Taleen is a writer, musician, and artist native to L.A. After coming up in the DIY scene as frontwoman of riotgaze band TÜLIPS (2011-2016), she debuted her solo act at Echo Park Rising last summer and formed a new live band, expanding her sonic palette with an array of synths, guitar pedals, and sound healing instruments. A multi-hypenate to the core, she is founder of what L.A. Times calls “cult favorite” lit and music-minded DUM DUM Zine and teaches Kali Punk Yoga workshops and sound experiences in venues, galleries, DIY spaces, and private lessons throughout Los Angeles.
The Silhouette Era
The Silhouette Era practically define Northern California's own brand of garage-surf; not that of summer heartache, but of the sheer adrenaline of first loves.

Influenced by the raw minimalism of bands like Pixies and The Stooges, the band creates blasts of scuzzy hooks similar to acts like Wavves and FIDLAR. The group writes from their own experiences originating in the sunny surf town of Monterey, but now find themselves relocated to the gritty and hectic city life of San Francisco. The band brings a healthy dose of musicianship to their ethos of making fun music geared towards creating rowdy, communal live shows.
Nightgown is the project of LA based musician and singer/songwriter Laurel Noone. Originally hailing from outside the colorful port city of Baltimore where she studied opera, philosophy, and the art of disillusionment, Laurel now focuses her energies into writing sweet-n-low-down rock-n-roll. Her sound seamlessly shifts between delicate, color-washed dream-pop to biting, straightforward garage rock with lyrics that walk a fine line between sincerity and tongue-in-cheek. Nightgown is currently breaking from her streak of musical reclusiveness and slowly releasing her self-produced lo-fi demos. Be sure to expect the unexpected from this debuting artist.
