Deaf/Mute
Deaf/Mute
deafmute is a music group from Los Angeles headed by producer/songwriter j.franxis. feeling is favored over thinking. movement favored over static. silence over talk. the infinite funneled through one lens. a mixture of flesh and metal, a release of robotic emotions. now and timeless. immortal and dying.

With their unique blend of 50’s rock and 70’s punk and their increasingly talked about live performances; where drum sets are used as jumping platforms, food fights ensue and an occasional head bleeds, The Monolators have come a long way since their beginning in 2002 with Eli Chartkoff (vocals, guitar) his wife Mary (drums) and Ray Gurrola (guitar) releasing several EP’s and LP’s along the way including Don’t Dance, Silver Cities, Our Tears Have Wings and much more. They have been featured by LA Times and LA Weekly and have been played on KCRW, KXLU and the now defunct Indie103.1.

Wolf Woodcock is a Los Angeles based musician and composer. Performing in many bands all over the LA scene, he has also been carefully crafting and releasing solo songs since he was sixteen. It wasn’t until October 2016 that he put together a band to start playing these songs, their first official show at the Hi Hat that same month. He is joined by Nate Carter on drums, Cesar Hernandez on bass, and Isaac Plummer on keys. They released their debut single as a band on March 10th, 2017 through Chain Letter Collective.
